About

Click to enlargeLivia Avrith, Instructor and Choreographer, has always had a passion for dance. Her first introduction to dance was at three years of age when she participated in ballet and jazz classes. As she got older, her passion for dance was so prevalent that it enticed her to pursue other forms of dance to help her express her love for the art. Livia comments, "The benefits of dance are endless. On a personal level, it has had a tremendous impact on my own character development. Aside from the technical skills that are relevant to the instruction of dance, it instills a sense of discipline, confidence, and poise."

In addition to her love for dance, Livia shares an equal love for children. Working with children has given Livia more satisfaction than anything she could ever imagine. Her view is that every child has a special quality and that no two are alike, each should be taught to succeed according to their own potential. She has been teaching dance to children in preschools, elementary schools, high schools and summer camps for over ten years. Livia has also been very successful in animating birthday parties and special events in Montreal and the surrounding areas.

Livia graduated with distinction from Concordia University with a B.A. in Sociology. She later completed a Certificate in Human Resource Management from McGill University. Her achievements have enhanced her ability to organize and manage her own company, Funky Feet.

Thanks to the wonderful success of Funky Feet, Livia now has a team of dance teachers that share the same passion as she does with children. Funky Feet has many classes and continues to grow in the Greater Montreal area, Laval, the West Island and the East end of Montreal.
